For rental cars, the rental fee often includes the Hungarian vignette, but this must always be clarified with the rental company upon pickup to avoid double payment or fines.

Railway stations are frequent locations for financial traps. Currency exchange booths located inside or immediately outside the stations typically offer highly unfavorable exchange rates. Additionally, "freelance" taxi drivers often wait at the main entrances.
